Spiral Galaxy NGC 2336

NGC 2336 is a barred spiral galaxy in the constellation Camelopardalis, 110 million light years away.  Tight spiral arms contain bursts of star formation, glowing blue in this image. 

This image combined 85 minutes of luminance exposures unbinned, with 40 minutes of red, 30 minutes green and 40 minutes of blue exposures, binned 2 x 2.  An ST10XME camera was used through a Meade 12" LX200R and an AP reducer at the Hidden Lake Observatory.
