Open Cluster M23

Open Cluster M23, lies low in the southern skies at declination -19 degrees, in the rich star fields of the constellation Sagittarius.  A magnitude 6.5  blue type "A1" star lies to the northwest (left) of the cluster in this image. 

This image combined 20 minutes of red, 24 minutes green and 20 minutes of blue exposures, with a mix of binned and unbinned exposures.  AQSI583wsg camera was used through a 12" Astro-physics Ricardi Honders at f3.8.
