| Sharpless 2 - 140 is a cloud of mostly hydrogen gas illuminated by ultraviolet light of newborn stars. It resides 3,000 light years away in the constellation Cepheus. An image taken in infared by the Spitzer Space Telescope has shown complex molecules, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, that emit infared light.
